The Revolver

Being elevated from the ground and among the branches is the key to the unique atmosphere of tree-houses. Instead of sticking to the structure of trees, we suggest to revolve around them and consider them as the pivotal axis of our design. Different spaces are organized in multiple slices and levels and the arc shape of the modules creates the ability to maneuver in the woods with different combinations to generate small elevated neighborhoods through the natural context. The two different modules are defined by different revolving angles and different heights. Module A is a 30 degrees pie slice with 3 stories which the bottom story contains the sauna, and Module B is a two-story 45 degrees slice. These mathematical properties are set to match the competition requirements for the modules to be the desired volume. The façade system consists of two separate layers of shader panels and glass window panels which can slide on the conic surfaces of the modules, therefore, provide the ability to adjust the light, privacy, and openness at every space independently.
